Originally from Norway, Kristian relocated to Oregon to join LAIKA’s Missing Link Animation team in 2017. “It was a very exciting opportunity for me, since I had always wished to be part of a big stop-motion feature film and experience all that comes with it,” he says. Working on Wildwood, with its “epic size and all the different characters,” has been next level.

With a degree in Design & Applied Arts, a love of Coraline and ParaNorman, and a penchant for variety in her workdays, Jacqueline is well suited to her role at LAIKA. “Any project that asks me to wear a different hat from the day before is fun for me,” she says.

While the desire to step outside her comfort zone and experience a more imaginative work environment first drew Katelyn to LAIKA in 2017, it’s the people who keep her here all these years later. “LAIKA has some of the most creative, friendly, and interesting people I have ever worked with,” Katelyn says. “Being able to talk with others in a plethora of fields — woodworking, metalworking, electrical engineering, you name it — really makes this place special.”
